The Robertson County Community Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to providing both the vehicle and the vision for residents of Robertson County to leverage their accumulated assets and charitable hearts to make Robertson County a better place to live for generations to come.
We promote philanthropy, build and maintain a permanent collection of endowment funds, and serve as a trustworthy partner and leader in shaping effective responses to community needs and opportunities.
The Foundation is controlled by a board of trustees made up of area residents knowledgeable about community needs and representing a cross-section of public interest. The board's primary responsibilities are to identify the present and future needs of our community, help identify and attract capital gifts, and to see that funds are invested appropriately and distributed in a manner that responds to the needs of the community. The Foundation also has an Advisory Board which meets annually to discuss the long-term vision and goals of the organization.

The Foundation has a broad array of funds that fall under our tax-exempt "umbrella". The "Discretionary Grants Fund" accepts unrestricted gifts which enable the Foundation to respond to a variety of needs in the community through an annual grant process. Named funds can be established and named by donors who may either remain active advisors who direct grants from their funds or may identify in broad terms the organization, field of interest or area to which grants will be directed. Organizations may also establish funds under the Foundation umbrella to provide a vehicle for capital and operating campaigns.
Among the funds that the Foundation currently administers are the Highland Crest College Campus Fund, the Springfield High Athletic Association Facilities Fund, and the Robertson County Reads Fund which supports the Robertson County Imagination Library Program.
